MH Split Core Zero Sequence Current Transformer

Exclusively for application with MH Earth Leakage Relay and Janitza Power Quality Meters to provide accurate earth leakage current detection, early warning and protection.
It is used to detect and measure zero sequence current or a very small current, which indicates an earth leakage current or a ground fault in a power system. Its split-core design allows easy retrofit installation without disconnecting existing cables, making it suitable for both new and existing installations.
An undetected leakage current may lead to cables overheating, which could start a fire and put lives at risk. Thus, early detection of leakage current helps prevent cable overheating, insulation failure, and fire hazards. Enhancing overall electrical safety, reliability, and maintainability in critical and continuous operations.

High Accuracy
The split-core ZCT incorporates a high-turn secondary winding (>1,000 turns), allowing precise sensing of low-level zero-sequence currents associated with early-stage earth leakage.

Retrofit-Friendly Design
Split-core design allows the ZCT to be installed without disconnecting existing cables, enabling fast, safe, and non-intrusive installation—especially suitable for retrofit applications and live facilities.

Robust Design
The zero sequence current transformer is encapsulated by a case made of self-extinguishing material. This provides excellent mechanical strength, long-lasting and great insulation.
